<p>It is indeed ruptured all the way through &#8211; the arrow on the photo on the left points to a squiggle in the tendon that shouldn&#8217;t be there indicating a breach, and the arrow on the right points to the rupture with the surrounding fluid.</p>

<p>To quote the surgeon we visited &#8220;I can&#8217;t believe you are able to walk on that!&#8221;. His surgery is scheduled for Thursday next week, and then he&#8217;ll be on crutches for about six weeks after that, and will then go back into the aircast for a couple of months, depending on how long it takes to heal.</p>
<p>The timing isn&#8217;t perfect, what with us moving house in about 10 days time, but at least I&#8217;ll have him around the place for the next few days to help with the packing, even if he has to do it whilst sitting down!</p>
