Why, yes I am. Here, let me show you my card…

Over the last few weeks it’s become our little weekend routine to lunch our way around the free samples at Costco and then head homeward with a $4.99 rotisserie chicken for supper. Yumm.

Over the last few weeks it’s become our little weekend routine to lunch our way around the free samples at Costco and then head homeward with a $4.99 rotisserie chicken for supper. Yumm.

But *somebody* is being rather demanding this week and is REFUSING TO GO TO SLEEPY. At 5pm this afternoon I officially gave up trying to get Oliver to take his morning nap and at 6pm started the bedtime ritual so that he would turn in for the night. Easy, I thought, no morning snooze or afternoon nap today, talk about something being a doozy. Wrong. Here we are at 10pm and the little one STILL WON’T CLOSE HIS EYES. If photos don’t appear here within the next 48 hours it’s because I’ve been admitted to the local psychiatric hospital for extreme sleep deprivation. Fact.

And my baby’s bottom is *very* soft at the moment thanks to the Gro Baby cloth diapers. I don’t even have to use cream, just a dusting of cornstarch each change, and that’s enough to ward off any rash.
Lots of things happening here at Peachy Hollow. Oliver has just had a MAHOOOSIVE growth spurt (elephant child), just had his first cold, and appears to be now budding his first tooth. Yes, signs of a tooth at three months, poor him. And poor me. The girls have just started their new school, my family are over to visit (again), and we have humming birds in our garden *squee!* Proper updates to come soon. Right now I’m enjoying some quality time with my mummy and daddy xx

Overall sub-par with UHT cream and scones that taste WRONG (jam on the other hand is excellent), but a good attempt given available resources, and good enough for me. *Nothing* beats an authentic British cream tea, of course. Not a sausage. But this will do xx
With Oliver in a deep milk coma, Chesterfield asleep on my bed and The Doc planted on the couch in the family room in front of an epic movie, there’s time (at last) for me to pour a glass of red wine, grab a copy of Us Weekly, and sooth my blemished, weary complexion. It’s been a long, tiring week, thank goodness it’s Friday.

The sweet little peach continues to keep us busy, but moments like this make it all worthwhile. Yes, I’ve completely morphed into one of those classic new parents, thinking everything he does is the most adorable thing ever…
Thankyou all so much for your lovely comments. Hopefully over the next couple of days we’ll settle more into our new routine and I’ll be able to write more than a few quick sentences on my phone. And I’m sure there will be a few more pictures too
