^^^You can add fois gras to that list as something I would particularly never eat out of principle. And it used to be an ambition of mine to open up a coastal sanctuary for rescued fishmonger lobsters, but then I found out they were highly territorial and needed a lot of space, and I worked out I would need to buy up something like the entire Welsh coastline.

I never preach to others about vegetarianism though, it's everyone's personal choice. DrMr is a full-on carnivore and will probably always be that way.

I eat mostly veggie, but I commend you for trying out local foods. You're right; the animals had been killed anyway to feed others, you just helped to make sure that nothing went to waste. I try to sample local dishes when possible, for the experience. Two things I won't eat though: veal, because of the way the calves are raised, and lamb, because they are far too cute, and by eating them, I would be decreasing the world supply of wool. ;)

Please don't hate me Tracy, I feel horrible enough as it is :( I'm wracked with guilt today for it and I feel horrible, but I can speak with conviction now that people aren't really missing much. I don't eat meat as I can't bear the thought of animals being killed. At least I was eating part of something that will feed lots and lots of people, so it wasn't like a whole mini chicken just for me. This type of food isn't so unusual up here where I'm staying (according to my friend it's hard eating vegetarian here) but it's not something I will be repeating when I get home.

Paige has been a bit homesick, but will hopefully be coming out for some photos tomorrow. Brooke is loving it here though, lots of snow so she can practice her skiing :D They both miss their sisters though.

Yes the same Rudolph, and I'm feeling EXCEEDINGLY guilty this morning about it. Same for the seal, and for the whale. Actually I feel a bit salted and oceanic overall and I think that was the seal. It was cured rather than raw and bleeding but still raw nonetheless. I just imagined it was sushi.

Rudolph??? Who will bring our Christmas presents this year, I'd like to know??

I do struggle with raw stuff, so not sure how I would've coped. (I have actually gone off chicken since watching Survivor China last year, don't ask!). I do enjoy venison etc though so I probably would've tucked into Rudolph with gusto! :-)
