YES! ANOTHER THESIS INCENTIVE!!!! Haha! And a jolly good one at that.

Wow, I've just fallen in love with all the amy butler patterns that are in that second shop. That bag and the tunic are soooooooooo nice. I've got some google searching to do. Fabric, patterns.....ooh the possibilities.

I wonder how unwifely it would be to make a rather large purchase on the credit card and ship a load of it to the apartment so it would be there by the time I arrive?

I'm not wishing to be the enabler of any spending problems, but that first seller only charges an extra 75c for each additional yard you buy! I only placed my order y'day but they have good feedback :)

Etsy is BRILLIANT for fabrics! So much cheaper than in the UK, even with postage. Here are some of the sellers I've used:

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5048829 (I bought the Michael Miller quilting skulls in blue, their entire stash of it in pink, and loads of the vintage repro stuff)

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=64762

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7627&order=&section_id=5198647&page=2 (I bought quite a bit here, including a bag which was a pressie from John. They were lovely and gave me a free gift of some ladybird fat quarters!).

Yes I did get a sewing machine for Christmas, but I still haven't had chance to look at it. I think it's going to be a post-submission project now!

Hee hee Melissa! I'm glad it went down so well. I'm definitely going to make it myself at some point....if I can find creme fraiche in the US, that is. Their dairy selection is a fraction of the size of what you can get in England. It hurts me that I can't find fromage frais out there which I live off over here. Yay for easy baking, hee hee!

Flissy I *puffy heart* you!!!

I've just PMed with an offer. That outfit plus her shoes are the only things I don't have. Ooh, she'll be so excited! I won't get my hopes up just yet though, just in case.

Oooh does Etsy have lots of fabrics? I will go over and take a look. I'm excited to be able to get my hands on my nice sewing machine next month, so I will hopefully be able to clothe girls for the summer. Over here I have my Nana's old hand crank which is a LOVELY machine, but it's hard making small clothes with only one hand to guide them under the needle.

Didn't you get a sewing machine for Christmas? Big yay in that case :D

I'm really, really jealous. Quite irrationally so! That's a great haul! I had a spree yesterday and bought (from Etsy) all sorts of fabric to add to the pile, but there's nothing quite the same as the instant gratification of buying for real. BTW - have you seen this on TIB? Maybe Scarlett would like to accompany Paige in her new costume?

Be quick - she's only taking offers today!

Blasted Flickr!

We ate the lemony cake today - o my HECK! It was glorious. (I had a lot of trouble keeping away from the freezer last night.)

Happy knitting - hope Flickr doesn't decide to have a mani and pedi too, tut.
